Distributed Secondary Cooperative Control Strategy for Multiple VSG/GFM Converters Based on Consensus Algorithm

Abstract

Aiming at the problems of frequency deviation, unequal power sharing, and line 
impedance mismatch in the parallel operation of multiple virtual synchronous generator /grid
forming(VSG/GFM)converters, this paper proposes a distributed secondary cooperative control 
strategy based on consensus algorithm. This method equates multiple converters as a multi-agent 
system, achieves frequency restoration and active power allocation proportionally to rated capacity 
through information interaction among neighboring nodes. Simulation results demonstrate that the 
proposed method exhibits favorable stability and power sharing performance under conditions of 
sudden load change.
