Welcome to the most anticipated event for the mechanical engineering community! The Mechanical Engineering Congress 2025 will bring together professionals, researchers, students, and industry leaders to share knowledge, explore new technologies, and develop solutions for the challenges of the future.
Throughout the congress, we will experience days filled with inspiration, learning, and networking — featuring keynote speeches, roundtables, technical workshops, and project exhibitions.
The Latin American Congress on Mechanical Engineering (COLIM) has established itself as the most important academic event in mechanical engineering in Latin America since its first edition in Mérida, Venezuela (1999), hosted by the University of Los Andes. For over two decades, this biennial forum has provided a key platform for the dissemination of scientific, technological, and professional advancements in mechanical engineering and related disciplines.
Throughout its history, COLIM has been hosted by renowned academic institutions across the region: Escuela Politécnica Nacional, Ecuador (2001); Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), Peru (2003); Sociedad Mexicana de Ingeniería Mecánica, Mexico (2005); Universidad de Pamplona, Colombia (2008); Universidad Privada de Bolivia, Bolivia (2010); Universidad San Antonio de Cusco and PUCP, Peru (2012); Universidad Politécnica Salesiana, Ecuador (2014); and Universidad de Pamplona, Colombia (2018).
Each edition has demonstrated significant growth in quality and reach, actively fostering knowledge exchange, strengthening university-industry collaboration, and catalyzing the formation of international research networks.
